GenCatch
(TM) Blood &Tissue Genomic Mini-Prep Kit provides a simple, fast and cost-effective
method to purify genomic DNA from various samples such as
bacteria, yeast, blood, cultured cells, tissue, plasma, serum,
buffy coat, lymphocytes, paraffin-embedded tissue and forensic specimens,
without phenol/chloroform extraction and ethanol precipitation.
Isolated genomic DNA is free of contaminations and are good
substrates for southern blotting, enzymatic and PCR reactions.

Sample Size:
Up to 5 ml of bacterial or
yeast culture, 200 μl
of whole blood and 30 mg of animal tissue or culture cells can
be processed in a single column.
Yield:
Up to 80 μg genomic DNA from bacterial and yeast culture, 120
μg from mammalian tissue culture and 10 μg from whole blood
sample can be obtained. Quality:
Genomic DNA purified is suitable for many downstream molecular
manipulations including, genotyping, PCR, enzymatic reactions,
southern blotting, etc.
Convenient:
No phenol extractions or ethanol precipitations required.

gel before (second lane) and after (third lane) digestion with EcoRI.

different numbers of HeLa cells (102-106 cells from left to
right). The 850 bp fragment is the expected amplification
product according to the primer used.
